YHA Haworth is a Victorian Gothic Mansion that was built in 1884 as the family home of local mill owner, Edwin Robinson Merrall. The hostel overlooks the Worth Valley, famous for The KWVR which inspired both The Railway Children and the internationally recognised and admired Bronte family. Inside the building the sweeping staircase, ornate painted glass, richly carved oak and plaster friezes hint at the building’s opulent past.
The hostel is well used by groups but it is also very popular with individuals, families and overseas travellers. We're ideally situated for backpackers travelling around the Hebden Bridge and Todmorden areas as we're only a few miles away.
